The following rules have to be strictly adhered to within the zoo premises
and we seek your co-operation. |
:: Please do not feed the animals |
|
Kindly avoid feeding our animals. Our diet schedule for each animal is scientific and based
on regular studies and research. We provide the animals with an adequate and well -balanced
diet to keep them physiologically and psychologically healthy and happy. Any uncontrolled
feeding by the public may cause abnormal behavior, digestive troubles, and even the death of
the animal.

:: Kindly Avoid Teasing our wildlife |
|
Zoo animals are not active all the time. Like human beings,they too need some periods of
rest,even during daytime.
It is unfair and cruel to throw stones, sticks, plastic and other objects at them. Knocking
at the glass panes may frighten them. It is also dangerous to throw coins and other objects
into water moats and pools. Some animals have died because they swallowed large quantities
of such items.

:: Barriers and Fences are to Save you |
|
Most of our animals are not tame. if anyone climbs over the barriers and fences and teases
the animals with walking sticks or umbrellas, the animals may react by attacking the intruder.

:: A Clean Zoo for you
Kindly dispose all your litter into the trash containers provided in the zoo. Also avoid walking on
the flower beds and on the lawns. Please refrain from smoking when entering the animal houses.
Do not carry polythene bags with you.

:: Listen to the Natural World of Sounds
Listen to nature’s sounds and enjoy them. Leave your portable radios at home. Please avoid making
too much noise in the animal house. Observe the animals silently. Your fellow visitors and the
animals themselves will be grateful for this. |
:: Pollution and Noise-free vehicles |
|
The zoo has eight battery-operated trains, to take visitors around the zoo and aid them in
observing the animals at close quarters, without disturbing them. These vehicles being noise
free and pollution free do not pollute the natural environment of the zoo.
